Colorado State
University (also referred to as Colorado State and CSU) is a public research
university located in Fort Collins, in the U.S. state of Colorado. The
university is the state's land grant university, and the flagship university of
the Colorado State University System.
The current
enrollment is approximately 32,236 students, including resident and
non-resident instruction students[4] and the University is planning on having
35,000 students by 2020.[5] The university has approximately 1,540 faculty in
eight colleges and 55 academic departments. Bachelor's degrees are offered in
65 fields of study, with master's degrees in 55 fields. Colorado State confers
doctoral degrees in 40 fields of study, in addition to a professional degree in
veterinary medicine. In fiscal year 2012, CSU spent $375.9 million on research
and development, ranking 60th in the nation overall and 34th when excluding
medical school spending.

APPLICATION FEE - Submit a non-refundable application fee.
The application fee is $70.

GRE/GMAT SCORES - Contact the academicdepartment to verify
whether the GRE/GMAT is required. The GRE department code can be found at www.ets.org.

TOEFL/IELTS/PTE SCORES - Request that examination scores be reported
to Colorado State University. The institution code is 4075. Photocopies will
not be accepted.

The
minimum TOEFL score for admission without condition is 550 (paper based), or 80
(internet based).
The
minimum IELTS score for admission without condition is 6.5.
The
minimum PTE score for admission without condition is 58.

your department, they may have higher TOEFL/IELTS/PTE score requirements.

TRANSCRIPTS/CREDENTIAL & CERTIFIED TRANSLATIONS - Official transcripts or mark sheets and any
certificates, diplomas, or degrees from each college or university attended is
required regardless of the length of attendance, including courses in progress.
Final records will be required upon completion of the course or degree. ALL
records submitted must be in the native language; any credentials written in
languages other than English MUST be accompanied by a certified English
translation (Colorado
State University transcripts are not required).

no standardized format unless specified by the academic department.

The
submission of any false information or fraudulent documents in connection with
the application process is grounds for rejection of the application or
dismissal from the Graduate School regardless of the nature of other
credentials.
Undergraduate

Transcripts
High school/secondary school transcripts
- Unofficial transcripts can be sent while high school/secondary work is in progress. Faxed transcripts are not accepted.
- A final, official transcript reflecting graduation/secondary completion is required of all transfer applicants and all admitted freshman/first-year applicants. Only transcripts sent directly from the school or stamped/sealed may be considered official.
- If a record is not in English, a certified literal English translation must accompany the transcript.
- High school or secondary school reports are not required for students who have completed a first undergraduate degree and wish to pursue a second bachelor’s degree.

Official transcript from colleges and universities
- Transcripts must be official. If only one original is available, an attested or certified copy may be submitted. Faxed transcripts are not accepted; transcripts submitted electronically may be considered as official only if uploaded through a vendor or emailed directly from the college/university.
- If a record is not in English, a certified literal English translation must accompany the official transcript.
- An evaluation of transferable academic credits is done only after an applicant is admitted to the University. Admitted students are strongly encouraged to send in advance or bring to campus course descriptions, syllabi, catalogs, or other documents for consideration in the equivalency review process.

Test Scores
Official TOEFL, IELTS Academic and PTE Academic results
- English proficiency evidence is necessary to be considered for direct/clear admission to CSU; however, we will render decisions with no evidence of English proficiency.
- Results should be sent directly from the testing service.
- Alternatives to the TOEFL, IELTS and PTE are considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Applicants from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom whose first language is English are exempt from this requirement.
- Applicants who do not present qualifying TOEFL, IELTS Academic or PTE Academic results are considered for conditional admission.
SAT or ACT test (optional)
Freshman applicants to Business, Engineering, Computer
Science and Biomedical Sciences must submit official SAT or ACT scores to be
considered for direct admission to one of these more competitive majors.
Without ACT or SAT, admissible applicants will be considered for an alternative
major or undeclared advising track.
Recommendation (Freshmen/First-Year applicants only)
One
recommendation is required for full freshman admission and scholarship
consideration; additional recommendations are optional.
- Your recommendations should be from a teacher or school-based counselor, though we will accept recommendations from other people who can tell us about your potential for academic success and your personal qualities.

Personal Statement (Freshman/First-Year applicants only)
Your
personal statement may be an important part of both the admission and
scholarship decision.
The writing
prompts and instructions for the
Common App and the CSU Application are the same.
You’ll be required to type or copy/paste your personal
statement into your application before you can submit it, whether you use the
Common App or the CSU Application.
